2021 WALC/LAN Conference held in LASU




It was a thing of joy, that the 32nd West African Languages Congress and the Linguistics Association of Nigeria conference held in LASU. Arrivals of participants from all over West Africa, began on 15th August and the conference ended on 21st, August 2021. 

It was hosted by the department of African Languages, Literature and Communications Arts, Faculty of Arts, LASU and the chief host was the Acting Vice Chancellor of LASU, Professor Oyedamola Oke. 

This year's theme explored the 'role of languages and literatures in the challenges of instability and corruption in West Africa. 


After rigorous planning by the local organising committee, the conference was a success.
