INTRODUCING: The Young Grammarians’ Hub.

There is more to being an English speaker than the spontaneous ability to use the language and “sounds” correctly. A good English speaker should be able to account for the acceptability and the grammaticality of different utterances made by themselves or others.

As second language users of English, this may be difficult, but very attainable. Hence, the establishment of the Young Grammarians’ Hub to guide you through this journey to attain true mastery of English Language.

Young Grammarians’ Hub is an innovation of Dr Ganiu Abisoye Bamgbose, a lecturer at Lagos State University who has dedicated innumerable years of his life to teaching the standard usage of English Grammar. For the past 5 years, he has posted online grammar lessons daily, and the Young Grammarians’ Hub is an initiative to go deeper into teaching and learning the standard usage of English Language.

The Young Grammarians’ Hub is a club for grammar enthusiasts where issues relating to grammar, that is, the standard, correct, formal usages of English are discussed among young people with different mentors in the field occasionally visiting and enlightening them.

This club is however, not only open to students in the department of Linguistics and Literary Studies but it is also open to students in related and unrelated fields who are interested in mastering the techniques of English Language.

On the 31st of July, 2021, the Young Grammarians’ Hub formally kickstarted its business of smashing and dissecting grammar with her official launch which was tagged “The Centrality Of Grammar To English And Literary Studies” held on the GAB Telegram Group open to about 1000 members.
