We are still on this, when a bikeman who was on another queue said," why will you wait for her? Just put your kegs before hers and let her learnt her lessons." Then I told him," I met her here, therefore it is not right for me to take advantage of her because I'm older than her and she is not so smart."
Then he asked," Are you a Christian?" I looked at him and said," Yes."
Well, you guessed right. His next statement was exactly what you think; "no wonder you have to wait for the girl, if I were you, I wouldn't even think about it, I will just put my keg there and see who will blame me... in this fuel scarcity. You are Jesus' child, but we ourselves are just following Christ."
And so I thought, "Is this not what a man without even attached to any religion should be able to do?
Does morals not teach us to treat others fairly?
Man's conscience has always been with him since his creation. Will conscience not tell me what I'm about to do is wrong?
Should we take advantage of one another at every point in time?
Is there anything called "integrity" amidst us again?
Even till now I'm still thinking about it. What you are and who you are would be determined at this kind of point where you have the full advantage but your conscience is saying NO.
