Acronym

An acronym is an abbreviation formed by using the first initial of each word in a phrase. Acronyms are pronounceable, so you read them out as if they’re a name, and are formed by using the first letter of each word in a phrase. Note that when introducing an acronym, the full term should only be capitalized if it is a proper noun e.g. the name of an organization. An acronym can be categorized into 2:

An initialism is formed in the same way as an acronym. It consists of the first letter of each consecutive word in a phrase. Examples are;

RSVP: This word originate from the french word " Responses sil Vous plait" it's commonly used in occasion. In English it means " please reply"

Electrocute: it's derived from electricity and execute. It means to harm or kill with electricity
