NASELS 12TH REGIONAL EXECUTIVES HAIL WOMEN'S COURAGE, COMMEMORATE WITH THEM on INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY
The executive members of the 12th cabinet of the NASELS southwest region has wished all women a happy International Women's Day.
The message, which is made through the Deputy Regional Director's press statement, commends efforts made by women across all disciplines, including language and literature.
'On this special day of the International Women's Day', the Deputy Regional Director notes, 'we honour the wisdom, and accomplishments of women worldwide. Unquestionably, women have shaped communities, accelerated advancement, and spurred change in a variety of fields, including literature, education, and politics. We understand the power of language to elevate voices, question conventions, and promote gender equality as English and Literary Studies students. We pay tribute to the incredible women who have cleared the path for others and are still shattering stereotypes in every industry today.'
'This year, the celebration serves as a wake-up call to actively support women's empowerment in addition to acknowledging their efforts. Representation is important in literature and the media, and it is our responsibility to support stories that highlight the variety of women's experiences. We must challenge stereotypes, foster inclusive spaces, and advocate for equal opportunities in academia and beyond.'
'As members of the National Association of English and Literary Studies, let's pledge to support women's rights by utilizing our knowledge, platforms, and voices. Let us advocate for a day when gender parity is a lived reality rather than merely a theoretical concept through our words, deeds, and writing.'
'Happy Women's International Day!'
